Abstract

This research addresses the relationship between educational policy and urban space, based on the trajectories of 20 students and 11 graduates of the Community Telebaccalaureate (tbc) program in the city of León, Guanajuato. The objective is to know to what extent these trajectories respond to the vocation of said city based on a scale analysis of the variables tbc, economic vocation and urban space. This approach started from as national, state and local (to understand tbc as a public policy), and then gave more specific ones in which the family and community life of students and graduates are juxtaposed to the relationship previously stated. Describing and mapping how the educational, work and community life of these young people empathizes, adapts, or resists the logic of an urban space was one of the main results of this research.

Key words: Urban space, high school, industrial vocation, urban communities, youths.
